Thanks to the magic of the website LinkedIn, I reconnected with my friend Sara Howard. Thanks to the magic of this website for customized blogs, I was able to see all kinds of pictures and news about Sara and Tony's baby daughter and life in St. Louis.
So welcome to the just-created Cooper Dupin family blog!! We assume grandparents will read this more often than most, but it does seem like a great way to share the news of everything the boys say or do that makes us laugh. Or groan. Or want to flee. But mostly just the things that make us laugh!

Joseph Leroy Ebersole, 76, a private practice lawyer whose specialty was intellectual property as well as handling government contracts for information technology companies, died Oct. 18 at his home in Washington. He had prostate cancer.
Mr. Ebersole settled in the Washington area in the late 1960s as director of new business development for North American Rockwell, an aerospace company. In the 1970s, he became deputy director of the Federal Judicial Center, the research and education agency for federal courts, and afterward started his private practice.
He took many consulting jobs while maintaining his legal practice, including one for LexisNexis, the online electronic archive of news, legal opinions and public records, that involved starting the first full-text patent search system.
From 1984 to 1988, he was vice president of International Health Information Applications, a market research company that created electronic access to health-care information. He then spent a decade as director and chief technology officer for ChinaMetrik, where he created an early pharmaceutical market-research database business in China.
Mr. Ebersole was a native of Arcadia, Ohio, and a 1955 graduate of Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss.
He was a 1965 graduate of the University of Southern California law school, did graduate work in industrial psychology at USC and attended a program for senior government managers at the Harvard Business School and John F. Kennedy School of Government.
He was a former president of the D.C. Computer Law Forum, and his memberships included many professional associations and the Cosmos Club. He founded and was counsel for Coalition for Patent and Trademark Information Dissemination.
His marriage to Elaine Ebersole ended in divorce.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Nancy Towe Ebersole of Washington; two children from his second marriage, Ashley Ebersole of Washington and Lisa Ebersole of New York; two sisters; and a brother.
